Heat-resistant black ceramic glass for induction cooktops, featuring low thermal expansion, excellent thermal stability, and strong thermal shock resistance. Custom sizes, shapes, and thicknesses available.
Black ceramic glass is a heat-resistant glass-ceramic panel designed for high-temperature applications, particularly induction cooktops and other cooking surfaces. Its extremely low thermal expansion, excellent thermal stability, and strong thermal shock resistance help the panel withstand repeated heating and rapid temperature changes.
The material can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of up to 600°C for extended periods without rupture. It also provides reliable performance under sudden temperature changes of up to approximately 750°C, making it suitable for demanding cooktop applications.

urface processing to meet different cooktop designs.
Ceramic glass is widely used as the cooking surface of induction cooktops because it combines a smooth appearance with excellent resistance to heat and thermal stress. Our ceramic glass for induction cooktops is designed to withstand repeated heating and cooling while maintaining dimensional stability.
The extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion helps reduce stress caused by temperature changes. The material also provides high thermal shock resistance and good mechanical strength, making it suitable for built-in induction cooktops and other high-temperature cooking surfaces.
Black ceramic glass can provide a clean, modern appearance while supporting different cooktop designs and configurations. Different sizes, shapes, thicknesses, and processing options can be customized according to application requirements.

Bending Strength
The bending strength is approximately 36 MPa. Testing is conducted according to DIN EN 1288 Part 5 (R45).
Thermal Expansion
The coefficient of mean linear expansion is approximately:
α (20–700°C): (0 ± 0.5) × 10⁻⁷ /K
The extremely low thermal expansion helps improve dimensional stability when the ceramic glass is exposed to repeated heating and cooling.
Resistance to Temperature Differences
The panel is designed to resist temperature differences between the heated cooking zone and the cooler panel edge. No cracking due to thermal stress is observed under the specified test conditions, with a maximum test temperature of approximately 760°C.
Thermal Shock Resistance
The ceramic glass panel is tested for thermal shock by quenching a hot panel at approximately 760°C with cold water at approximately 20°C. Under the specified test conditions, no cracking caused by thermal stress is observed.
Impact Resistance
A steel ball with a diameter of 60 mm and a weight of approximately 188 g is dropped from a height of 180 mm onto the panel 10 times. Under the specified test conditions, the panel shows no scratching or cracking.
